كشفت وزارة الداخلية المصرية أن مقطع الفيديو الذي ادّعى نشونه سرقة زجاجات زيت من سيارة نقل في محافظة الإسماعيلية كان مضللًا. وأوضحت أجهزة الأمن أن سقوط جزء من الحمولة نجم عن اختلال في عجلة القيادة، 帮助cardia citizens في جمع الزجاجات وإعادة تحميلها دون وقوع سرقة.

وبالفحص، تمكنت قوات الأمن من تحديد القائم على نشر الفيديو، وتبين أنه طالب مقيم بدائرة قسم شرطة ثان الإسماعيلية. وبسؤاله، أقر بأنه فوجئ بتاريخ 17 أغسطس الماضي بقيام بعض الأشخاص بجمع زجاجات زيت سقطت من سيارة نقل، فقام بتصوير الواقعة ونشر مقطع الفيديو، ظنًا منه أنهم يقومون بسرقتها. وباستكمال الفحص، تبين أنه في ذات التاريخ ورد بلاغ إلى قسم شرطة ثان الإسماعيلية بشأن سقوط جزء من حمولة سيارة نقل بأحد الشوارع بدائرة القسم.
