اجتمع وزير الخارجية المصري بدر عبد العاطي بنظيره التشادي أحمد كوقوري على هامش منتدى العلمين الأفريقي لمناقشة Enhancing العلاقات الثنائية والقضايا الإقليمية. واتفق الجانبان على تعزيز التنسيق الثنائي والمتعدد الأطراف، كما وقعا مذكرة تفاهم بين هيئة الدواء المصرية ووزارة الصحة التشادية في مجالات المستحضرات الطبية والحيوية والمستلزمات الطبية.

وصرح السفير نادر زكي المتحدث الرسمي باسم وزارة الخارجية بأن الوزير عبد العاطي قدم التهنئة لنظيره التشادي على تعيينه في منصبه الجديد كوزير للخارجية، معرباً عن التطلع لمواصلة التنسيق والتشاور لتحقيق المصالح المشتركة، اتصالاً بالعلاقات الأخوية والتاريخية التي تجمع مصر وتشاد، مشدداً على أهمية مواصلة تنفيذ توجيهات الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي والمشير محمد إدريس ديبي بتعزيز العلاقات الثنائية ومتابعة تنفيذ مخرجات الدورة الرابعة للجنة المشتركة المصرية–التشادية وما تم التوافق عليه خلالها من اتفاقيات ومذكرات تفاهم ومشروعات تعاون. وتبادل الجانبان الرؤى حول سبل تعزيز السلم والأمن والتنمية بالقارة الأفريقية، واتفق الجانبان على تعزيز التنسيق على المستويين الثنائي ومتعدد الأطراف، بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة ويسهم في دعم الاستقرار والتنمية في القارة الأفريقية.
