Security forces arrested 6 members of the media committee managing the platform. This coincided with the circulation of a video clip containing a previous speech by the deceased Muslim Brotherhood leader Essam El-Aryan, in which he spoke about Abdel Rahman Mansour, the founder of the 'We are all Khaled Said' page, and his affiliation with the Muslim Brotherhood.
The clip was re-circulated at the time the Ministry of Interior announced the details of arresting the managers of the 'Don't Believe' platform. Security forces had monitored an unlicensed online page called 'Don't Believe' operated from abroad, which is responsible for publishing false news and distorting facts.
According to the Ministry of Interior, investigations revealed that the page is part of the Muslim Brotherhood's media committees and is managed from outside by the fugitive Muslim Brotherhood member Abdel Rahman Shukri Ali Abdel Jalil Mansour, with the help of several Muslim Brotherhood members inside the country. The ministry added that the arrested members were responsible for preparing fabricated news and sending it to the aforementioned person to publish it on the page, receiving financial funding from abroad.
