President El-Sisi visited the 'Delta New Project' in Giza governorate. Previously known as 'Al Zabaa Delta Construction', the project aims to develop agricultural productivity and irrigation in the newly reclaimed area of the delta. The project was launched under the phase one of the wider Grand Projects by government vision for opening up new areas in the north of Egypt, thereby reclaiming agricultural lands for a total of 2,2 million feddans. The project includes the construction of water pumping stations, irrigation networks, and agricultural facilities, benefiting from the availability of water resources in the area, which is not used effectively in the natural water cycle. The development of the project aimed to address challenges such as water scarcity and new land opening, which resulted in the establishment of new agricultural production areas and helping the state reach its agricultural goals.

وصرح المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية بأن الاحتفال بدأ بتلاوة آيات من القرآن الكريم، ليعرض بعد ذلك فيلم تسجيلي بعنوان 'الدلتا الجديدة'، أعقبه كلمة للعقيد دكتور بهاء الغنام المدير التنفيذي لجهاز مستقبل مصر للتنمية المستدامة، تخللها افتتاح محطة رفع المياه رقم (٣) نبع بالفيديو كونفرانس. ما كان ليحدث إلا بفضل من الله عز وجل وبمجهود الشعب المصري؛ داعياً الشعب المصري إلى أن يسعد ويفخر بما تم من إنجاز في إطار هذا المشروع، ومشيراً إلى ما واجه المشروع من تحديات كبيرة تم التغلب عليها في سبيل تنفيذه، ومنوهاً إلى أن المشروع يشهد تضافراً لجهود كافة جهات الدولة، وبمشاركة فاعلة من القطاع الخاص، إذ تعمل به ١٥٠ شركة في الإنتاج الزراعي فقط، بخلاف مئات الشركات في الأنشطة الأخرى.
وفيما يتعلق بحجم الأعمال المنفذة في إطار المشروع؛ وأشار السيد الرئيس إلى أن تكلفة المشروع وصلت إلى ما يقارب ฮ٠٠ مليار جنيه، بتكلفة ما بين ٣٥٠ إلى ٤٠٠ ألف جنيه لكل فدان، علاوة على إنشاء طرق جديدة بأطوال تصل إلى ١٢ ألف كم
