وأوضح ترامب، في تصريحات للصحفيين، أن الأوضاع الحالية وصلت إلى «نقطة حساسة للغاية» قد تتطور بسرعة، مشيرًا إلى أن الخيارات العسكرية لا تزال مطروحة على الطاولة إذا فشلت المساعي الدبلوماسية. وأضاف أنه كان قريبًا من إصدار أوامر بشن هجمات جديدة ضمن عملية عسكرية سابقة، قبل أن يقرر تأجيلها لإتاحة مساحة إضافية للمفاوضات الجارية.
إيران تكشف عن قدرات عسكرية جديدة وتتوعد برد حاسم، وموسكو: أوروبا خسرت تريليون دولار بسبب التخلي عن الطاقة الروسية، وأشار إلى أن واشنطن «مستعدة للتحرك في أي وقت»، لكنه لفت إلى أن الانتظار قد يمتد لبضعة أيام فقط، مع تأكيده أن التطورات قد تتسارع بشكل مفاجئ. في المقابل، حذرت إيران من أي تصعيد جديد، حيث قال الحرس الثوري الإيراني إن تكرار الهجمات سيؤدي إلى توسع رقعة الصراع في المنطقة وخارجها.

من جانبها، أكدت إيران عبر مسؤولين رسميين أنها لا تزال منفتحة على التفاوض، لكنها تشك في نوايا واشنطن، معتبرة أن الضغوط والتهديدات لا يمكن أن تؤدي إلى حلول سياسية مستقرة. وفي السياق الدبلوماسي، تواصلت الوساطات الإقليمية، حيث لعبت باكستان دورًا في نقل الرسائل بين الجانبين، فيما شددت طهران على أنها قدّمت مقترحات جديدة تتضمن ملفات خلافية مثل العقوبات والأصول المجمدة وملف الوجود العسكري الأمريكي في المنطقة، وهي بنود سبق أن رفضتها واشنطن
