Meetings focus on financial sustainability, debt resolution, and modernization of Dar Al-Maaref, National Distribution Company, and Middle East News Agency.
Dr. Hussein Issa, Vice President of the Council of Ministers for Economic Affairs, chaired two meetings today to review progress and plans for restructuring national media institutions and enhancing their financial sustainability.
The meetings, held at the National Press Authority, focused on the status of Dar Al-Maaref, the National Distribution Company, and the Middle East News Agency. Dr. Issa emphasized the importance of these institutions as national assets and part of Egypt's soft power, stating that preserving and developing them is a priority for the state.
The discussions centered on overcoming financial challenges by optimizing asset use, diversifying revenue streams, and settling historical debts, while also improving editorial quality and digital adaptation to meet modern media demands.
